Honestly, I don't know what to put here but the dynamic between her powers and Benjamin's condition... It's got to be explored, nay, it has to be explored! Benjamin suffers from Narcolepsy which his powers have exasperated and amped up to eleven. This causes him to experience a few things that already fall under Ash's realm of power the most common being sleep paralysis, night terrors, the blurring of dreams and reality. His powers tend to go haywire during these periods of time and some crazy shit tends to happen. Beyond that, he hates Monroeville with a passion and currently has tried to break out more often than any inmate patient currently residing there. That's something I think the former resident can respect.
Beyond that, they both like causing trouble. Albeit in different ways.
I'm not sure how they can interact besides Monroevilles biweekly outings but we can probably figure something out.
I am absolutely here for an interaction with these two! The fact that Benji suffers from narcolepsy is something that would absolutely tickle Aisling. She spends a little more time in dreamland than she does other places, which isn't exactly the best thing. The way I've imagined it is that she can sort of "seek out" those that are sleeping and can manifest herself in their dreams and manipulate them. Obviously her specialty is nightmares and those are the ones that speak to her the most, meaning it's very likely that she can find herself in Benji's sleeping world.
We could play this as them sort of "meeting" through the dream-state and then encountering each other later, or meeting during the Monroeville outings and Aisling seeks him out in his dreams afterward! I'm down for anything
I can one 1000% percent get on board with that idea. I love the idea of Benjamin going to get a cup of coffee on his outing day and running into Nightmare Girl and having a "what the fuck" moment. How their relationship develops from there on out I'm pretty open to. Personally, I think the two could become pretty friendly considering how similar their interests and hobbies are. Benjamin could use a friend on the outside who he can interact with on a semi-regular basis . Because, let's be honest, he doesn't usually meet the behavioural requirements to earn the outting day.
Yessss, I love it. I think she would be pretty shocked to see him in person, too. She'd definitely have some sympathy with his predicament. She probably shouldn't have been released from there, but pretending to be on her best behavior did what she needed it to. I think Aisling would look forward to their visits during the week!

I know she's difficult to get along with outside of the dream realm, but I love powers threads and dream threads, and so I've come to propose that she finds herself in his strange recurring dream. You said that dreams are more difficult than nightmares, and this straddles the line a bit. It isn't a dream of rainbows and the Big Rock Candy Mountain, but it isn't falling forever or being tortured. It's...emptiness and strange, which might be enough to drag her in?
This is the first thought I had but I'm also open to something more antagonistic where she tells Ben to shove it because he's annoying her in class.
She's definitely a little more touchy in reality, but she's working on it, haha. I like this idea! I think the darkness or seemingly empty-nature of it definitely has the potential to pull her in, especially because she seems to feel empty herself about 9 times out of 10. Aisling would definitely be confused about what on earth is going on in his brain!!

It's definitely not out there. I definitely love reading and learning about the possibilities of what dreams might mean. I think it could be pretty interesting and she might go on a personal mission to try and decipher these dreams - not necessarily for him, but for herself!
So if Aisling just got out a year ago, I feel like these two have had a chance to meet, and... honestly I feel like they would have gotten on pretty damn well all things considered. After all, they're both pretty mouthy, but I feel like in an environment like the one they were in opened up the possibility for them to start chatting, even over something as trivial as the food in the cafeteria before eventually forming, if not a super close, ride or die kind of friendship, than at least one that would help keep them from going insane while they try to wait out their hellish sentence. Um, 115% yes. I think that they both had this initial appearance about them that makes them seem like they're cold, but they have that surface that just needs to be broken into.
