Monroeville Suicides Spike
Suicide rates in Monroeville Hospital rose by 98 percent over the last year. In previous years, only three suicides had been reported from 1982 and 2016. Since 2016, nearly twenty-seven have been reported, with the most in 2018.
Yesterday, Monroeville Hospital released information on the latest, a suicide by hanging in her room. Director of Monroeville Hospital released the following statement, "We are so sadden by the loss of one of our residents. While we work to provide relief for the most disturbed and the pained in the community, sometimes there are demons that we just cannot reach. We hope that her family accepts our condolences during this trying time."
With the end of 2018, what will 2019 bring to Monroeville Hospital and what is causing the spike in suicides? Investigations into living conditions, mental health treatment, and adequate recreational time, have proven worthless. Monroeville Director Jasper Blackthorn had routinely denied any media presence within Monroeville Hospital and has released numerous reports about the breakdown of funding for quality of life care for patients at the hospital.
To the families impacted by Monroeville's suicides, we at In the NOLA give our deepest sympathies.
