Scarlett pursed her lips as she turned off the display of her phone, rolling her eyes at it. Of course the moment that she wanted to meet up with Bash he was nowhere to be found, but when she couldn’t hang out was conveniently when he was free. It was like he planned it or something. It hadn’t always been like this. When they were kids, Bash had always been there for her to hang out with, to play football with, really anything that they wanted to do. Now, however, they were both older, and while a lot of Scarlett’s attention had turned towards homework and video games, his had turned towards his friends and chasing whoever caught his attention. There were still times that they hung out, and today was supposed to be one of them, but since Sebastian was clearly not answering his damn phone, she was left to her own devices.
Unless.
There was one more option that Scarlett hadn’t expended just yet, and that was one that she explored a little more often than she admitted. Lennox MacAlistair was one of her brother’s best friends, and more often than not he could tell her where he was. Even if he couldn’t, quite frankly, she liked hanging out with her brother’s friends, and she wasn’t really shy about making that known. Dakota and her had bonded over their mutual love of technology, and Lennox? Well to be quite honest she just liked being around him. In the past it had started off with them deciding to hang out when her brother had cancelled on the both of them, and they still occasionally hung out, eating junk food and watching conspiracy videos on youtube when they weren’t trying to kick each other’s ass at video games. It was a very copacetic friendship, and she honestly felt a lot closer to him than she did to any of her brother’s other friends. Considering how much time she spent around all of them, because they had become kind of a package deal to spending time with her big brother, that was saying a lot.
Scarlett grabbed her game, making her decision rather quickly. She made her way down the corridor, taking the familiar twists and turns until she arrived at Lennox’s door. The whole way, there was not one part of her that thought that this was something that could be construed as anything other than a girl hanging out with one of her friends, so the smirk on the face of a few passing students didn’t even register, she was too busy waiting for Lennox to answer, and checking her phone to see if her idiot brother had actually managed to peel his eyes away from someone else’s ass to look at his messages.
The door swung open, and Scarlett smiled up at Lennox as she leaned against his door frame. “Hey! Are you busy?” She hadn’t exactly asked him if he could hang out, so she was fully prepared to take her game and switch it out for something else that she could play by herself. “I was supposed to play Dead or Alive 6 with Bash, but he’s not answering his phone like the asshole that he is. Don’t suppose you’d be down to play?” She blinked up at him, a somewhat hopeful look in her eyes.
Lennox MacAlistair| I hope this is okay! I'm still getting a feel for her ♥
Some people said that Lennox enjoyed destruction. This was a little bit true, but what he really enjoyed was when people got what they deserved. When people were able to remember who they were meant to be and come back to their senses. When he watched Frost Queen Lyric Pennbrook leave Dakota's room early one more. He was sure the one of two things happened. One: Orion finally managed to convert her away from Wren, or two: she got lost in the middle of the night and Kota's blind ass got the wake up call ride of his life. Either way, this was information that he was just positive that Wren, his dear friend would need to hear. Snapping a picture, he send it to Wren with a caption (You think she was in there with the bear or the blind mouse? Either way, that's not your room.) He clicked his phone off and shoved it back into his pocket.
He was feeling like some snacks.
He went to the cafeteria of Primrose, stocking up on some snack food that was easy to bring back up to his room. Some crisps, some pretzels, stuff like that. The stuff that his roommate would often share with him. Only, his roommate could turn into multiple copies of himself, so Lennox wasn't sure that was all that fair on him. He grabbed some of the things that looked good and using all of his speed, evaded the part where he had to pay for the snacks. This school costs a fortune, it wasn't like he was going to have to worry about them bleeding in the pockets over an arm full of treats. Lennox made his way back to his room, proud of the haul he was able to bring up with him. He would be hiding some of it with Graham, but that was only because he really didn't want to have to feed all of his stomachs with it. He could steal his own shit if he wanted to do that. Lennox set the treats down on his bed, fishing out his phone to see if Wren responded to it yet. Not that he expected her to, he just expected to see some dramatic lesbian blow out fight coming soon.
Though, since it was Orion and Dakota's room that she was leaving, he was sure it would be some dramatic less than lesbian blow out fight.
He shot out some text messages to the biggest gossips in the school, if he got ahead of it quick enough he might even be able to sell tickets to the fight. Though he would be more interested in seeing Wren go after Orion. The big oaf wouldn't even know that to do with the butch dyke went after him like that. Definitely worth the cost of admission to find out. Lennox heard the knock at his door and figured it was Wren in tears from the revelation that her girlfriend was still craving the dick. When he saw Scarlet, he was surprised in all of the best ways. Scarlet might be Bash's little sister, but she was something truly extraordinary. She was smart as hell, she was funny, she was brave. Plus she dealt with Bash's stupid shit on a daily basis, so she was probably up there for sainthood.
"Never too busy for my favorite Hallewell. Come on it." He motioned to her to come into the room then spied what was in her hands, "His loss is my gain, both in the game and in the company. Get comfortable, I'll set up the TV." he took the game from her hands and motioned to the snacks on his bed, "Help yourself, all compliments of Primrose Academy." He sat down in front of the entertainment system and looked over at Scarlet,
"So you thought of Bash before me with DOA Six? I thought we were closer than that, Lettie." He teased

There were a few people who questioned Scarlett’s loyalty to her brother and his friends, but quite frankly she didn’t give most of them the time of day. In her mind, her brother couldn’t possibly do the things that they were accused of doing, and if someone wanted to come at them because they were jealous, or for one of the other many reasons that someone would try to come for her brother or his friends. She knew the truth, she knew them for who they really were. Sure, Bash could be a dick, she knew that better than anybody else, but she also saw him when he played soccer, or when he was listening to music or playing video games. The same could be said about any of the boys that hung out with her brother; people could see them at their worst, but she saw them when they were away from all that bullshit and having fun. And honestly? She liked them most in those moments.
Lennox’s words were enough to make Scarlett smile. “Don’t let my brother hear you say that,” was the reply that she tossed back at him as she made her way into the room, skirting past him and catching the faintly spicy scent that seemed to always accompany him, when he wasn’t drinking anyways. It was a fair thing to say, and she wasn’t sure what Bash would bitch about first; the fact that he wasn’t Lennox’s favorite Hallewell, or the fact that his little sister was. When she had first started getting closer to each of the boys in Bash’s little group, he had sat her down and given her a firm lecture that she wasn’t allowed to date any of them. He had been clear, that those were his friends and he didn’t want to share them with her all the time, but over time their social lives had mixed more and more, and now it was a way that she constantly teased him, either by subtly flirting with his friends or by dangling the fact that they clearly liked her more over his head. Whether or not that was the truth was up in the air, but she tried really hard to maintain the balance between teasing him and not taking it so far that he actually got his feelings hurt.
“Get comfortable, I’ll set up the TV.” Scarlett made her way farther into the room, already feeling at ease. She had been in this room enough times by now, and he in hers, that it didn’t make her feel nervous the way that she had the first few times she had been around. Even then, she was sure that her crush was obvious, but since he had never done anything about it, she had resorted herself to being his friend. That was better than nothing, and he was really a lot of fun to be around; he made her laugh without treating her like a little kid the way that Bash did. “Don’t mind if I do.” She walked towards his bed, and paused as she eyed the number of snacks piled there, pausing and looking over at him with an arched eyebrow. He explained, and she shook her head as she chuckled. “Using your powers for nefarious purposes again, huh? You better not get yourself caught.” She picked up a bag, tossing it at the back of his head and sitting down next to the pile, grabbing a bag of crisps and opening them up, popping one in her mouth and relishing the taste.
“Oh come on, you know you’re always my first choice.” There was no note of teasing in her voice, just a sincerity that she might not even be truly aware of. Sure, when it came to needing someone she typically went to Bash first, but for anything else? It was almost always Lennox’s door that she was knocking on. If it wasn’t Meme’s or Thea’s. She just gravitated towards him in a way that she couldn’t explain, and in a way that she knew perfectly well got under her brother’s skin. Then again, maybe that was part of the appeal. “Bash asked me, which is half the reason I’m pissed that he isn’t answering his damn phone.” She leaned back onto her hands, shrugging as best as she could in that position. “His loss. You’re better than he is anyways, I actually can’t beat you every single time.” As he set the game up, she pushed off his bed, sitting down next to him on the floor. “And you don’t whine when you lose. I think he might have been actually gearing up to real tears last time.”
