Jude didn't know much about Lennox. He didn't pry, especially when it clearly brought up some negative feelings in Cora. Of course, Jude would always be willing to talk if it was what Cora wanted, but he also knew that Cora had Asha-- who was female-- and probably didn't want to talk boys with Jude all the time.
When she needed it, though, Jude was there.
Cora had had an awful encounter at work that day and it had to be on Jude's day off. He felt horrible, like somehow it was his fault that he hadn't been there to support her. Now was his chance to make up for it as Cora had just finished talking with Asha and was on her way to Jude's room.
He quickly turned down the air conditioner in his windowsill, remembering that not everyone enjoyed living with a whopping eleven degrees. The moment he heard the knock on his door, he ran to grab it. "Hey, Cor," he said, furrowing his eyebrows and giving her a hug as soon as he saw her. "I'm really sorry. He's just a jerk," he said, shaking his head. He couldn't imagine how someone could want to make someone upset. It was disgusting.
"I grabbed you a smoothie from Juice," he offered, handing it to her. "I figured... you probably already had your coffee today." Smoothies were good, too. He hoped this was good enough to make her smile, in the least.
"You want to hang out here, or go for a walk or something?"
