Mason wasn't naturally a violent person. He tried not to let his temper get the best of him, mostly cause there wasn't usually a good point to it. He tried to keep himself level headed or tried to be the guy who was going to find the fun in a situation. However. This was a very special circumstance that currently had him hoisting a baseball bat made out of Benjamin's bones over his shoulder and peeking into another patient's room for an accomplice.
He wasn't sure what made him think of asking Elijah, it was probably the small crush that he had on the other man. He walked down the hallway, ducking the various nurses, technicians and orderlies that would surely try to take away the bat and he wasn't sure he would be able to steal enough milk from the kitchen for Benjamin to recreate the bat for him. He needed a bat, and it had Dakota's name on it. He was sure that there was something mortally grey about breaking the kneecaps of a blind man, but there was something much worse about attempted sexual assault. Mason and Sophie were close friends and he would do anything to help her.
Mason carefully slipped into Elijah's room, grinning at the dark haired man who sparked some very specific thoughts in Mason.
"Hey Lijah, help me beat up a blind Primrose kid?" He asked, revealing the bone bat from behind his back. Hopefully, the potential to maim someone would be appealing to Elijah.

Eli had a lot of emotions and he was good at keeping them suppressed. And, by good at keeping them suppressed, I mean he was really terrible at keeping them suppressed.
He'd seen Mason around and they'd spoken before but Mason was no different from anyone else in Monroeville in that Eli had tried to keep his interactions with him to a minimum. It wasn't anything wrong with the people he'd met there-- he'd actually grown quite fond of a few of the building's patients. It was just that he couldn't manage to build a relationship with anyone that didn't make him feel nervous or uncomfortable after a while. No one was fluent in ASL, social interaction was exhausting, and several other factors played into this.
Still, when someone came and offered him the chance to take out some anger, it was time to make sure those emotions didn't get suppressed.
He'd looked up quickly when he saw someone enter his room, though he hesitated to answer. He thought Mason was asking him if he wanted to go beat someone up. But that couldn't be right.
He revealed a bat, and suddenly Eli was thinking he was asking him if he wanted to go beat someone up.
"What?" he asked incredulously, smirking slightly as his eyes scanned the bat. "Got that from Benji," he assumed, gesturing to the weapon that was clearly made out of bone. "Did you-- I mean, yes. Where is he?" Because either Mason had either somehow acquired and restrained a blind Primrose kid or they were about to have a hell of a time stuffing the Monroeville intern into a closet.
"That dick who hurt Sophie?" he asked for confirmation, though blind helped narrow the list of possible names down a bit.
Mason thought that Eli was super cute, but he didn't think that the other man understood that he thought he was cute. Sure Mason flirted with everyone, but he flirted extra with Eli. He would flirt, he was trying to learn some ASL for him, and he was the first one who Mason thought of to turn a Primbrat into a pinata. That had to mean something. If it didn't, then romance was just dead in Monroeville.
The Primbrat pinata party was something that the Lunch Bunch and others had talked about many times over. Everyone knew Sophie, Lilith's girlfriend, and everyone wanted to see them happy. That happiness was meant to be built on the crushed bones of a rapist. It was just the only was to do it. Romance was not going to die at Monroeville under Mason's watchful gaze, and that was just how it was going to be.
He just couldn't believe the nerve of Dakota. He attacked Sophie at Primrose and then he had the gall to come into Monroeville where she was being held against her will to what? Taunt her? Whatever the reason or excuse was, Mason had a bat made out of bone and it had Dakota's name on it.
Apparently it was unreasonable to ask Benji to engrave the bat with Dakota's name literally, but he stole a sharpie from the nurse's station and it would be just as good. Mason held up the bat and presented it to Eli for closer inspection, "I did, I always knew he would have a big boneer for me. I mean it's not as big as the one I have for you, but it's not a locker room competition." He teased, knowing that any more thick of a flirting and he would be on his knees in front of Eli.
He grinned when Elijah seemed to be into it, "I figured wrangling her into a closet wouldn't be painfully difficult. I just need my favorite right hand man for help."
