Lyric took a shot of her drink and laughed with her friends at the burn. There's something to be said about the mixture of fake IDs and self confidence. Lyric collected the empty glasses and set them up to be cleaned up by the waitresses. She flipped her hair from over her shoulder with an effective flick of her wrist, and smirked at her friends, "I'll get us some refills." The bar was thick with people and she was sure that she could get through, but it might take some time. She looked back over at them, "Head on out there without me. I'll find you."
With the click of her heels on the floor, she made her way to the bar. There was plenty of Primrose students in the bar, most of them underaged like Lyric and her friends. They all needed to blow off some steam and she was't going to be the one to tell Headmistress Oswald about a couple of students trying to have fun on the weekend. She even recognized a few of them from the New Years Eve party where she kissed Wren at midnight. Mostly the response had been positive. A few nobodies stopping her in the hallway to tell her that she helped them come out too.
Like she was just desperate to be the fairy godmother of Primrose gay kids.
Lyric leaned against the bar and waited for the bartender to notice her. She spotted a too familiar face on the other side of the bar. A face that she woke up to more times than she could count. A face that she missed. She crossed to where he was and placed her hand on his shoulder to catch his attention,
"Hey stranger." She said with a small smile, curious if he heard about her and Wren. She wasn't sure why she was as nervous as she was, but she was. She was worried about how he would feel about her being with Wren. How he would feel about her being in a relationship, when she kept him at an arm's length for so long. It wasn't that she didn't want to be with him like that when they were fooling around, he just never asked.
"Out trying to find someone just on this side of drunk and hot?"
What was he doing here? Yeah, sure, the clubs have become his stomping grounds over the pass few years but lately every time he has gone out, he hasn’t been feeling it. The loud music makes it too easy for him to get close to people, but he has lost all interest tonight. Instead of flirting it up, he took his place at the corner of the bar and has been enjoying the company of his many drinks. A number of rum and cokes, a few shots of bourbon here and there, but his bar tender friend made him work on a glass of water a few minutes ago. Good looking out, because his head was already swimming.
He has been off his game since New Year’s. That night where he witnessed the girl, the one that he has grown too close to, give her love and attention to someone else. It left him out in the cold, only discovering the fact she was seeing someone a few days before that party. He did not think much of it when she first told him, but when he had watched them kiss…it stirred something inside of him. That girl was the reason that Lyric had been avoiding him, and now he could never have a taste of her again. It agitated him, spending a lot of time thinking of nothing but the fiery red head and it made him crazy. She already forgotten him, so he should just forget her.
His eyes turned away from the shot that was placed in front of him to scan the dance floor, a predator looking for his new prey. The speakers blaring music that made it easy for him to sneak up and grind against someone. He would force himself to go through the motions of wooing someone into the bathroom stall and fuck Lyric out of his system. Hopefully once and for all. He tossed back the shot, hissing as it burned its way down. He slipped out of his stool only to pause when he felt a hand on his shoulder
"Hey stranger. Out trying to find someone just on this side of drunk and hot?"
The surprise that she was here was painted clear on his face, too tipsy to try and bother to hide it. “Lyric?” he questioned, squinting his eyes to put her into focus. “What?” he mumbled at her question, then scoffed. “ I should be…” he slurred, rolling his eyes in annoyance. At her? Himself? Both…lets go with both. “Your girlfriend with you?” he asked, the bite appear in the question.
He was completely blitzed out of his mind and she felt a gnawing pit of guilt in her stomach. She knew deep down that it wasn't the casual fling that the two of them had. She knew deep down that the two of them had more than just a causal sexual relationship. They were friends before everything else and Lyric hadn't been treating him much like a friend since being with Wren. She just-
If she was being honest with herself it was because she was worried about how faithful she would be to Wren from the beginning. She worried about running off with some guy the second she got scared someone was going to find out she was dating a girl. She thought that she was going to destroy the one good thing in her life because that was what she had always been best at. Wren was the best thing that had happened to her in a long time and she knew that being around Orion was only going to complicate that.
Admitting that was just even more complicated than she wanted to admit.
When he looked at her completely smashed out of his mind, she felt bad. She knew that she was part of it, why he was out drinking his misery away. She stole the stool next to him, tugging her skirt down to remain chaste in front of Orion. Anything to keep from either of them getting too many ideas. She turned and looked at him, placing a hand over his. "Hey." She said, hoping that he was okay.
He was pretty drunk and she could see it clear on his features that he was feeling it. She looked over to where her friends were dancing and knew that she wouldn't be able to have a good time knowing that Orion was so messed up. "My girlfriend? No. She's out with some friends tonight." She held his hand and laced her fingers with his,
"What's going on Orion? I've never seen you like this."
Orion found it difficult to keep his eyes fixed onto Lyric's. He would like to be able to blame it all on the amount of alcohol he had consumed, but it was also the way she looked at him. He lost his composure and adverted his gaze, alittle too quickly ...that was a bad idea. His body swayed with the movement of his eyes. In a fluid motion, he fell forward into her as she was taking her seat next to him and her hand was reaching out towards him. His hand quickly reaching out to catch the edge of the bar and the other caught the back of her stool. His face lingering dangerously close to hers, taking him a minute too long to realize what had happen. His hooded eyes making a slow hike up from her lips.
With what few seconds he had left in this intimate position, He had a choice to make. Every fiber of his being urged him to use this closeness to his advantage, make her regret leaving him behind and remind her of what they had. The thoughts going through his mind caused his gaze to turn unfocused as they flickered down to her plump lips, his knuckles turning white as his fingertips gripped the back of the bar stool. The muscles in his arms tensing, causing him to pull her chair closer to him and his forehead to press against hers. A low, guttural growl could be heard over the music as his beast made it known what he wanted.
"What's going on Orion? I've never seen you like this."
Her voice caused him to pause for only a moment, long enough for him to gather his senses and pull only his head back away from hers. He gazed into her eyes, tossing a crooked smile at her. "I dunno," he slurred while he goes to rest his cheek against hers. " Alls i know is that...I cant stop thinkin 'bout you...." he let out a long sigh, his hot breath trailing down the side of her neck. " I miss you..." That choice was still linger over his head, breathing in her scent as he wondered how much she would end up hating him if he kissed her. No amount of alcohol could change the fact that she was in a relationship. He knew he had no right to ask her to choose, nor did he want her to have to choose between them. He just could not give up their own relationship, their closeness, it left him feeling empty.
"Tell me to stop Lyric..." he murmured, knowing that if she did not...he would whisk her away without a second thought of Wren... of her new found happiness...
She could remember the first time they had been together. She cared for him so much, he was incredible to her. They had been friends, they were part time lovers. They fooled around all the time and they were able to just be happy with each other. When she first met Wren and made out with her at the party, she had to reaffirm to herself that she was straight. She ran straight to Orion and tried to rewrite what happened with Wren with Orion. When she finally got back to spending time with him, she pushed down the feelings of how much she missed him. She knew that it was bad, but she couldn't help it. They had meant so much to each other for so long, it was something she couldn't just write over. When he reached out and grabbed her, she knew that she should have pushed him away.
She knew that she should have evaded the touch.
Lyric knew that it was a bad idea, but there she was, leaning into his touch and enjoying the heat that spread between the two of them. It was intoxicating, it was rich, it was built over years of being friends with each other.
Her breath caught in her throat, unsure what she even wanted from all of this. Was it weird that she wanted him to try to kiss her? Was it weird that even though she cared deeply for Wren, she still remembered all of the times when Orion would pin her against a wall and make her scream? She watched his eyes drift lazily from her lips up to her eyes as he was practically swaying from the line of empty glasses in front of him. Her barstool went jerking forward and she was even closer to the bear shifter, sending a shiver up her spine. He pressed his forehead against hers, a small moment of intimacy that she was going to hate herself for once the haze of the bar was gone. Then he had to growl at her.
That deep, animal growl that made her toes curl.
"Don't do that, you know-" She took in a deep breath and ran her fingers through his dark hair. The hair that was so very different from Wren's in almost every way. "You know." She ended, knowing that they had something so deep together for so long that it was inevitable that this was going to happen, "Orion..." She broke away from his touch and stood up in front of him, "You've had a lot to drink, I'll help get you into bed." She could get out of this without getting sucked into what they used to have together. She was with Wren and that was the best thing for her.
He had missed this closeness, months have past since the last night they had been this intimate. The heat that radiated from her, her scent ... it stirred so many memories. In that moment, he realized, he had taken her for granted. He used their friendship to think she would always be there for him, in every way. He made her feel the need to stray away when she started her relationship with Wren and he hated himself for it. He hated that he wasn't enough for her to be happy.
He was jealous... that Wren had something over Lyric that kept her away from him. He replays the kiss he saw over and over until it drives him mad. Now all he wanted to do was to take her back, in every way and in his current state he did not care about the repercussions.
"Don't do that, you know....You know."
Her slender fingers snaking through his messy hair was enough to push what little hesitation there was out the window. She wanted him too, and it was enough to give him hope. When she spoke, he remembered. He remembers those night where the desire for each other was so palpable they made the room shake. The reason he had his mattress and boxspring on the floor was because of the nights they were so enthralled that he had broken the bed frame. After the third time, he said fuck it and just left it on the floor. Looking at her now, he could feel that desire again. He wanted to taste her again. His lips drawing closer to hers likes magnets.
"Orion...You've had a lot to drink, I'll help get you into bed."
She had slipped away at the last second, causing him to let out a long, annoyed sigh but quickly replaced it with a forced smirk. "You coming with me?" he could not resist, straightening himself up as he pulled out his wallet to pay off his tab and threw down a few bills for tip. He draped his arm over her shoulders, letting her navigate him towards the back exit. Once outside, they were greeted by the cool, crisp night air. Sobering him up alittle more. With each step away leading out of the alleyway, the more he was losing his chance with Lyric. And he was not ready to give her up. He let his arm drop and used his body to press into her, moving slow not to scare her but not stopping until he had her pinned against the cold stone of the building. One hand cradling her cheek, the other resting on her hip as he peered into her eyes.
...You never said stop,"
He gave a cocky smirk before closing the gap between them, their lips crashing together. His hand moving with the curve of her hip, his hand grasping at the taunt muscle of her ass. His primal need taking over as a beastly growl rumbled inside of his throat, claiming her as he pressed his tongue passed her lips. His other hand tangled his fingers inside of her hair, giving it a light tug to crane her head back. Pulling away from the kiss, he moved his lips to her exposed throat. "Tell me that you miss me Lyric...that you miss us" he growled, raking his teeth over her sensitive skin of her neck.
Her friends were off dancing, they were having fun and enjoying themselves. She was over here confronting all of those feelings that she had been trying to bury as deeply as she could. She was falling in love with Wren, but she also couldn't deny the feelings that were radiating under the surface for Orion. Starting the relationship with Wren was a huge step for her, she was head over heels for the blonde, but now she was starting to remember all of the reasons why she ran back to Orion so many times.
She knew that this was wrong to do with Wren off studying to make up for an exam, and her friends were off dancing and spending time waiting for her to come back. She just had to make sure that Orion got into bed okay and didn't have to stumble his way around. She told herself it was because she didn't want him to get hurt or arrested for public intoxication. It was because she was a good person, at least that was what Lyric tried to tell herself over and over.
He knew how to turn her on, and he knew all of the smallest ways that could get her riled up, and it wasn't fair that he could use it against her at any time.
Just like she knew that putting her fingers in his hair had a similar response for him. Something she learned the time that they broke his bed during a particularly frenzied weekend together. The mattress frame, up against the dresser, just scratches down his back and hickies on her neck and collarbone. He was addictive and she couldn't help but want to spend more and more time with him. Wren was becoming a distance memory as he gripped her close and reminded her of all of the times when he made her scream with a deep passion. They were two magnets and she thought that she could get away from if she loved Wren enough.
She wasn't sure that she was able to love Wren enough to keep away from Orion.
Lyric sent a text to her friends that she would explain later, but that she was leaving. She watched him stand with a wobble and then the strong arm around her shoulders. For balance, she told herself. Clearly. She needed to just help him get to bed and then she would know that he was okay. It was the least that she could do for someone who meant so much to her. "Someone has to make sure you end up in the right bed, Delarosa." She teased, leaving with him out the back exit. It led to an alleyway that was the fastest way of going back to Primrose from the bar. Many times of running through that alley to evade an over edger bartender who wanted to check IDs and prove that they were real. She looked up at him, seeing that mischievous glint in his eyes, she was about to comment on it when he pinned her to the brick wall of the alleyway.
She never said stop.
She wanted to say something snarky, something about how she shouldn't have to tell him no, but then his lips were on hers and she couldn't help herself. Something primal took over her and she had her fingers in his hair and kissed him back. His hands on her butt, Lyric carefully jumped into his arms, deepening the kiss from him. Her legs around his waist and the kiss getting more intense. She moaned when he pulled her hair back and felt an impossible need for him. "Shut up, Orion." She snapped, reaching down to undo his pants. If they were going to do this, they were going to do it right in that moment.
Underwear shoved aside, her legs around his waist, fingers gripped in black and red hair. The two of them coming back together like the night after Halloween. She raked her nails down his back and moved her hips with his movements. She buried her face in his neck and bit and kissed the sensitive skin she found there. Wren was a distant memory and right now all she wanted was to have Orion deep inside of her and make her scream into his shoulder. She wanted him so much, she couldn't stop even if she wanted to. When they finished, she leaned against the brick wall and tried to catch her breath and looked at him with lust in her eyes,
Despite the amount that he has consumed in he past few hours, he knew what he was doing. He knew that he was pressing his luck and putting everything on the line by flirting and tempting Lyric. He had nothing to lose in this, Lyric had everything.
He was being unfair, and he did not care. Deep down, he wanted to feel guilty. He could not help but want her, and he was not going to lose her...not without letting her know how much of an affect she had on him.
The moment their lips molded together, he knew there was no going back. He was prepared to lose it all but the silver lining would be that he got one more kiss in.
When she kissed him back, he knew he had managed to finesse his way back in her mind, heart, and soon between her legs. The kiss filled him with a new purpose, to ensure she will never leave him behind again. Their kiss quickly turned hungry, breathing grew uneven and heavy. His hands moving to hold her legs that wrapped around his waist. His body pressing and grinding against the front of her hips as he used the wall behind her for added support.
The button and zipper of his pants quickly coming undone by her as his lips kissed and sucked the skin on her neck. "I like it when you use action instead of words," he teased, pushing down his pants to his knee. He shifts just enough to produce his sharp claws, leaving her panties in shreds on the ground under them. "I will buy you another pair" he grumble.
They were lost in the heat of the moment. He never gave thought to the condom that he had stuffed in his back pocket. Her hands under his shirt , her nails digging into his skin as he plunged himself back into her life. He savored it for a moment, left twitching as he tried to gather his senses. The amount of lewd noises that came from the hallway should have gotten them caught.
With one last powerful thrust, he was left panting. beads of sweat rolling down the side of his face. His lips on hers once more as he placed her back onto her feet. Once he made sure she was alright, he quickly pulled up his pants and fasten them back into place.
Her words earning her another low grumble to erupt from his throat, a new need to get her out of this alley and back to his room. "I am not planning on it," he reached out and grabbed her, throwing her up and over his shoulder. Thankfully the dorms were not a far walk from the club, carrying her the entire way, playfully biting at his thighs each time she tried to fight or kick.
The cool night air was making it harder to lie to herself about what was happening. Where she was and what kind of thoughts were racing through her head. All of them were filled with trouble and she wasn't doing a very good job keeping them at bay.
They had a bond, she would be stupid to deny that. They had been intimate with each other for years, practically since she first got to Primrose. Even when they were really just friends, he was always there for her. It was just how they were together. When she started dating Wren, she couldn't imagine the impact it would have on her ability to even be just friends with Orion.
Their lips together, her fingers in his hair, his hands all over her petite frame, she couldn't imagine anything that would hurt Wren more. Wren was a distant memory right now as Orion's lips attempted to brand her as his own. His property. His to have when he wanted.
It was always pure heat between them, but there was that added something now. The thrill of knowing that they were in an alleyway, that anyone could catch them at any moment. They had done their fair share of public displays of erection, but the dark alleyway added something new to it. Once her feet left the ground, she could feel a very familiar pressure between her thighs. The wall against her back made her feel vulnerable and desperate for Orion.
"You always did need someone who can tell you what to do." She teased, knowing he was a sucker for power dynamic struggle. She could order him around, so long as he was the one making her scream his name at the end of it. When she saw her underwear on the ground, she wanted to curse at him, though the image of Orion buying her new underwear, of him picking out what she would wear under her Primrose uniform, was just as appealing. "Two pairs." She corrected, knowing that he was just going to enjoy playing with them more than giving them to her.
The moment, the heat, the intensity, she tightened her legs around his waist and buried her face into his neck. Her screams for him, his name, all of the lewd things she wanted him to do to her. Tourists passing by were probably craning their necks to see some true New Orleans depravity. She couldn't care less. The pleads in her throat were met with the same fevered desire back that she had tried to hide from herself for all of this time.
Finishing with another shout to compete with the music in the bar, she leaned back against the scrape of the brick building and panted. "Good. Cause I'm not done for tonight."
When he picked her up, she felt her skirt lift over her behind with every one of his steps, "Orion! Put me down you brute." She snapped, attempting to keep her skirt down from leering eyes. She kicked her legs, earning bites from him. Her kicks and pleads were superficial at best. She knew that were was no stopping the bear once he had his mind set on something. "I'm going to make you pay, Delarosa."
The combination of the cool, southern air and the vigorous sex they just had outside of the club gave him a more leveled head. Diminishing his intoxicated state down to a nice buzz. It probably helped that the bar tender made him drink water and some fried pickles at the bar too.
The music vibrating through the stone of the walls, tempting tourist and locals to come inside and party. Orion eyes drifting back to the woman who managed to capture his undivided attention and gave a crooked smile, instantly pleased with himself for coming out to this place tonight of all nights and for making her scream his name once again.
"You always did need someone who can tell you what to do."
Her response caused the shifter to chuckle, looking down as he fastens his belt. "Good thing you like to bark orders," he teased in return, moving back to her to plant one more kiss upon her lips. "It is sexy though. Hearing you, tell me, how you would like to use me to make you squirm with pleasure." he whispered close to her ear before nibbling on the lobe.
"Two pairs."
It was fair, he did just tear up a fancy looking pair that she was probably fond of. A pair he has not seen before. His brow arching a bit as he looked at the tattered scraps discarded on the ground, wondering to himself if Wren had seen her in them before him. The idea not settling well with him and feeling the sudden urge to raid her entire panty drawer to replace every piece for his eyes only. His inner beast caused his lip to curl in anger at the garment on the ground, "Ill do better than two." he murmured out loud.
She knew just what to say and do to distract him away from his new found jealousy and turn him on all over again. Their tryst was no where close to being finished and he was in a hurry to get her back to the dorms.
With her securely placed on his board shoulder, he made the walk over as entertaining and enjoyable as possible. Thanks to her short dress that was hiking up with each step and wiggle and the fact she had on no panties. He enjoyed every second that he tormented her, making sure to stick to back alleys and empty streets. His dorm room being the final destination of the night, figuring it would be safer than her room.
When he stepped onto the lit campus, his play time was cut short and he pulled down her dress to cover her modesty as he hurried to his room, practically kicking opening his door to his room. Thank God his room mate was out with his group of 'friends'.
He kicked the door closed behind him and tossed her onto his mattress that still sat on the floor, grinning down at her. "I would strongly suggest you hurry to take off that dress before I tear it off in pieces" his voice grew low and into a growl a the promise he made, snorting out hot air as his inner beast grew inpatient .
The clear air should have cleared her head. The cool air should have reminded her that not only was she simply above being above being groped and gripped at in a bar or in an alleyway by someone who was just not her girlfriend. No. Instead, she was gripped up and crying out for the same bear that she ran to when she and Wren first got together. She ran right back to the familiar hands on her hips and the familiar of it all. The familiarity that was as addictive as Orion was for her.
He was arrogant, he was always so sure of himself, she could practically choke on his cockiness and it was dizzying.
Promises of her underwear, rapport about their back and forth. She wanted to slap him across the face and run back to Wren with apologies and with promises that she would never do anything like it again. She wanted to. She wanted to so badly but too bad.
Instead she was raking her nails down his back and shaking from his talented actions. Actions cultivated from their times together breaking his bed and leaving bruises on her fair skin. She literally poked the bear with her biting quips, but the bear was certainly poking her back. The music of the club practically buzzing against her back, her legs tight around his tapered waist and lips all over each other.
She could have stopped him when he tossed her over his shoulder. She could probably still save face with Wren by promising it meant nothing. She could easily get away from Orion, she had done it before accidentally with him. She hated to think about the time when he got a little too into the moment with her and she accidentally set him to sleep with a well aimed frost to the face. She could have easily done it again and she could easily have gotten down from his shoulder.
But in her brain intoxicated with their lust and need for each other, nothing that felt this good could ever be bad.
Once the door slammed shut and Orion made his warning, Lyric fell back onto the bed and looked at the difference between Dakota's bed and Orion's. "Still haven't replaced your bed? With the tuition this place charges?" She teased before giving him a daring look, curious if he would really leave her without anything to wear. "Show me what you can do to me, Orion. Now." She pulled him down with her by his belt loops and rolled on the bed with him. Their hands as fevered as their kisses.
Thank god that Dakota was gone.
She did a lot more speaking with God until the late hours, and then a few more shouts in the early morning when the sun wasn't the only thing rising up. Orion gripping her with all of the dark need and intensity that she was getting addicted to. Leaving bruises on her fair skin from his lips, teeth, and grip. She couldn't get enough and despite her growing hatred for herself, she didn't care what anyone would think about this when the sacred seal of the locked door was broken. When Orion finally passed out, she wiggled from his grip, grabbing the remains of her ripped clothes from the night before and left for her own bedroom. She thought she spotted a flash from a cellphone, but who the hell would be brave enough to take a picture of her?
