As most people knew, Millie had the ability to communicate with animals. She had developed it as a young child, and she had grown to fine tune it as an adolescent. She used to hear all of the animals at once, but now she could speak with just one or a group of a specific animal. She loved communicating with animals. To her, it was as clear as English. To others, it sounded like jibberish. With her ability, Millie was able to speak with animals, make friends with them. She was also able to communicate about where they were injured, if they were injured. With that being said, Millie had been thinking a lot about using her ability in order to make the world a little better. She had been thinking about going into veterinary care, but she wasn't sure if that was the right fit for her. It was basically the only fit for her career, but she needed to feel it out a little bit more before she decided on her future career.
With volunteering at Monroeville, she had made some networks with the other employees there. One doctor, Viviene, knew of a man who was a veterinarian. Apparently, they were really good friends, and Viviene had given her the contact information for King. She had called a few weeks ago to set up a time for them to meet and for her to shadow, which made Millie excited. She loved meeting new people, having new experiences. It was bright and early, around 8 in the morning. The average girl had put on a pair of jeans and a basic shirt, something she wouldn't care too much about if it got ruined. After all, animals could be messy.
Millie made her way towards the clinic, opening the door once she arrived. The chime of the bell would have alerted the employees that someone was entering the clinic. She made her way to the reception desk, not seeing anyone. She knew that they could all be busy by now. She had no doubt that there had been emergency cases at some point. It was a big city. She tapped her fingers on the desk to the beat of the overhead music, looking around at the animal anatomy posters.
