It is very taxing mentally and physically for his projected form to venture beyond his line of sight. The overload of information relayed from the duplicate can be mentally crippling. It is not unusual for a wicked headache or dizziness to accompany strenuous sessions.

overall history ♦ The Ashley family is one of the most prominent families in Georgia. The family founded one of the most prominent banking groups in the country and proceeded to build their empire off of other people's money. Graham's father wasted no time finding the prettiest face he could and reproducing with her before growing bored and finding himself wandering. He keeps Evelyn around as a symbol, but their marriage is obviously one of convenience. 

Graham spent most of his childhood in a very sheltered setting. He attended only the best schools until one winter something peculiar happened. The entire family had hit the slopes for one last hurrah before classes resumed again after holiday. Graham was thirteen and still believed he lived a charmed life with the picture perfect family. While navigating a particularly intricate jump something shifted. It almost seemed as if he were looking through a second set of eyes. He was so startled that he lost his balance and slammed into a row of trees. He felt himself pulled under the veil of unconsciousness. When he woke, his father explained that his incident had left him in rough shape. The bump with the trees had caused bruising and a ruptured appendix, which had been promptly removed. After the incident he was removed from school. His father hadn't thought it pertinent to tell him that he had literally been seeing double at the time- but Graham Ashley III had definitely witnessed the incident in its entirety. Graham was home schooled until the age of fourteen when he was promptly sent to Primrose without any further explanation. 

Primrose was a very confusing place for Graham at first. He had no idea that he was anything extraordinary. He quickly learned that the people around him were a different caliber than the people he had been around thus far in his life. He resented his parents for sheltering him and keeping his own ability secret even from him. As his powers became something he could control, his resentment and rebelliousness did not.
