how the ability works ♦ Declan possesses super-human strength. Through this ability he is able to easily lift weights that would be physically impossible for a typical human. Due to this ability, he is often pushing himself further physically than humans should, which at times, leaves him with pulled and torn muscles. In order to lift such extreme weights, he has to consume more daily calories than a typical person. Declan sometimes underestimates his own strength, sometimes harming people by mistake. When he was younger, he would try to play fight with friends and always accidentally hurt people. Since growing up and working to control his ability, Declan has not harmed anyone seriously.

When he is excited, stressed, or angry, his strength can get the better of him and cause him to accidentally use his skill. If he is angry and throws his fist through a wall, he could easily take the entire the entire wall.

overall history ♦ Declan was born as the only child of Kai and Jennifer Kahale of O'ahu Hawaii. Growing up, Declan had the full benefit of being a spoiled only child. He grew up loved, enjoying the full attention of his parents and various nannies who helped around the house. When Declan was about ten years old, he started to have signs of his abilities. He would be able to pick things up with little trouble, and became stronger than his friends at school. They would be in gym class and Declan would be able to easily perform physical activities. Declan fit in well with Primrose kids, he made friends, dated girls. It was a nice situation. When Declan was seventeen, his girlfriend at the time cheated on him with a friend. Declan's famous temper for the best of him and he punched the wall in his room. His fist alone was able to bring down the wall of his dormitory. After a long time of work and practice, Declan was able to leave Primrose and went to college for his BA in business, and followed it up with his MBA.

Declan took his MBA and used it to open his own business in the French Quarter. He wanted a space where supernatural people could enjoy themselves and since there was such a dense population surrounding Primrose and Monroeville, he figured it was the best spot. Declan opened The Gorgon's Head as a home for supernatural people who want a good time. Declan opened the Gorgon's Head when he was twenty-five, and has been enjoying the life that he had built there.
