♚ Smart heels clacked on the marble floors in the halls of Primrose Academy as Nerys Oswald all but stomped into the place. Every move she made was a power move, and simply going from one place to another was a prime example of how she asserted said power. The woman honestly didn't think she'd return back to these gilded halls, not in the capacity of headmistress anymore at least. She was moving on to much bigger and better things. Dealing with snotty, rich brats was no longer on her plate and she would gladly pass it on to the next person. Which is why she was here, of course. Her 'vacation' was more of an unannounced exit, leaving Joshua Holmes the next man in charge. He had big shoes to fill, but Nerys was fairly certain he could do so adequately while she was gone. Now she was here to officiate that decision and no longer be tied to the hive of entitled brats with no gumption or drive to do anything with their lives. Passing this honor off to Josh was... Fortuitous.
Finally, Nerys reached the headmaster's office. She rapped on the door twice - two sharp knocks - and entered. Waiting for an answer was for peasants. The office felt different than it did when Nerys was there. Her office was cold. Distant. Lacking any emotional ties. Just the way she liked it. This was mortifying. Inviting. Warming, even. He probably even gave kids verbal warnings along with some nice coffee and a cookie. Her mouth curled into a slight grimace. Regardless. This wasn't her problem anymore.
"Good afternoon, Joshua. I hate what you've done with the place." It wasn't a statement made out of malice; just fact. It smelled like cinnamon. Who wants their work place to smell like grandma's cookies? Not that Nerys' grandmother made cookies, she made money by divorcing her many husbands, but still. Hopefully she wouldn't have to stick around too long in this actual hell. The woman set her briefcase on his desk and opened it up. Inside were neatly filed papers for a variety of projects and appointments Nerys had for the day. She quickly flipped through them to find the termination papers, removed them, and sat down in a chair across from the headmaster's own. As Nerys sat she smoothed the wrinkles in her white suit - a piece far more scandalous than the occasion called for. "Ready to get to business, Mr. Holmes?"
`ooc notes; she's purposely wearing a scandalous suit and she can't be blamed for what happens bc of it #notsorry
