It was a dreary Sunday, leaving him begging for Spring to come soon. He loathed being stuck inside for months on end through the winter. He thrived in the sunlight and the out doors, he was a fucking bear! Now he had to resort to getting his work outs in at a stinky gym that was just off campus. He spent the entirety of the morning going through his routine, going until his body couldn't handle one more lift and his clothes were drenched. When he reached the locker room, he peeled off his clothes and took a long, warm shower.
What should he do with the rest of his day? His mind drifting to the night before, a smile pulling at his lips as he thought of Lyric. He wondered if it would be too soon to reach out, wondering if she even wants to talk to him right now.
He quickly finished up, getting dressed in some fresh sweat pants and t-shirt, pulling on his hoodie before making his trek back to the dorms. On the way, he caved and sent Lyric a good morning text. They have yet to talk about what had happened or what they were going to do.
He wondered if she would tell Wren that she was in his bed last night after hooking up behind the club. It would have been their little secret but Kota came back to the room late that night. He did not want to risk going to Lyric's room and Wren finding them tangled together. Maybe he needs to talk with Kota about it. asking him to keep it to himself. Lennox would go crazy over the information.
Orion made it a habit to make sure that he knocks before entering the room, trying to be courteous. "Yo, you in?" he asked, poking his head in through the frame.
The entirety of Primrose probably knew about that hookup considering Lennox had a mouth big enough to swallow the Eiffel Tower. There had been a lot of talk and contrary to popular belief, Dakota had not been the instigator.
Kota seemed to be surrounded by drama, but he didn't actually go around starting it for fun. There was that, and the fact that he actually didn't mind living with Orion. Dakota had very specific needs as a blind person. He needed their room to be organized at all times if he had any chance of finding anything. He had little interest in intentionally doing something to piss off Orion because things were pretty civil between them and he wasn't in the business of making his own life more difficult.
Of course, Orion didn't know what was going on between Kota, Lennox, and Bash. It was reasonable for Orion to be concerned considering the best friends were probably the loudest people on the face of the planet.
Kota was doing work on his laptop when he heard his roommate behind the door.
"Yup. Fully clothed."
He did appreciate Orion for always being courteous. Orion would certainly hear it from Dakota if he wasn't.
"What's up?"
What he'd wanted to ask was something like "How was fucking last night?" but he figured he was more likely to get details if he let Orion talk to him about it on his own accord.
His eyes were quick to find the young man that was sitting behind his laptop. When he was informed that Kota was decent, he entered into the room and closed the door behind him. Dakota and him have been living together for a while now, and it felt like they were just now getting into the groove of things. It took him a bit to learn to live with a room mate that was seeing impaired, trying his best to keep it casual and light hearted between them.
“What’s up?”
Loaded question, his mind flashing back to last night. A smirk pulling at the corner of his lip. “Not much, just finished at the gym. Took a shower there so you did not have to smell me coming a mile away. ” he joked, dropping his gym bag by the clothes hamper. “What are you working on over there? he inquired, plopping down on the edge of his bed to kick off his shoes.
He wondered how to nonchalantly bring up the fact that Kota walked in on him fucking his friend, who was in a relationship that was not with him, and to please keep what he stumbled upon to himself until they were able to figure out how they were doing to handle the affair.
Was not too much to ask…right? Kota seemed like an alright dude, questionable choices he has made since he has known him but he is not one to judge in the slightest. They have treated each other with decency so far and he hopes it continues. His main worry was those instigating pals of his, a slip of the tongue would cause Lyric a lot of grief and trouble.

He smirked as Orion shared that he'd been to the gym, and that he'd ever-so-courteously bathed before returning. "I was wondering why I hadn't known you were coming," he joked. Fortunately, his roommate seemed to have good enough hygiene that he hadn't wanted to shoot himself thus far. Kota wasn't particularly picky with roommates, but Orion had been easy to live with and Dakota had acknowledged it to himself on more than one occasion.
"What're you working on over there?"
"Testing out a new website for a local volunteering organization," he responded. "Nothing exciting. They pay pretty well, though. You just look around and answer survey questions... how easy it was to find things-- stuff like that." Kota was glad to be a lab rat for those types of things. It was easy money.
"How'd you sleep last night?" he asked, smirking slightly.
True, it probably could have been brought up more delicately, but Kota had never in his life been delicate and they were both just tiptoeing around the subject, anyway.
He was doing Orion a favor by opening the door of opportunity for the conversation.
"I can't see, so," he added with a smirk and a shrug. Maybe Kota was misinterpreting what he believed happened. He needed to hear it directly from the source.
That is... he needed to hear it explicitly shared directly from the source.
He'd heard plenty from the source already, and he had enough experience to recognize those particular sounds.
