This involves touching the object/owner at her disposal with her hands, after which Sage will get visual glimpses of where the target is. The more recently there has been contact with the target and the object/person at her disposal, the more vivid her glimpses will be. If the target has a personal connection to the object/person at hand--like a piece of clothing that only the target wore or a spouse--her visual will be much more descriptive and thus give her more information on the location. Sometimes, in these cases, Sage might also get an intuitive feeling of the exact location--something she can only describe as a gut feeling that the target's location just has to be a certain place. If it's the object is something more communal, or the person avaialable isn't that close to the target, then Sage will probably need a photo of the target to enhance her visual, so she can make sure to focus her glimpses on the target's location and nothing/no one else. Her ability tends to fluctuate with her current state. Her light brown hair is dyed pink, more often than not, and she has the dark skin of her father, as well as the same big brown eyes. In fact, the main thing she got from her mother is her slightly upturned nose and short stature. She's muscled, but lean, and her hands are pretty banged up. Sage also has a pretty impressive collection of scars.

Both her parents and their families have been entrenched in the world of special abilities for generations now. On her mother's side, gifts of technopathy, cyber communication, and mechanical intuition are most common; meanwhile, on her father's side, gifts of path finding, retrocognition, and precognition are common. Although the Harkaways have been residing in New Orleans for quite some time, Renata Esteves de Oliveira only moved there from Caracol, Brazil when she was 20, in search of a new lifestyle. She met Arlo Harkaway, though, a man descended from the very famous and wealthy Harkaway family, while he was trying to hunt down a criminal. Renata helped, of course, and the rest was history. A few years later, their first child was born, a son named Everett, and a few years after that came along Sage.
Life was good for Sage. Both her and her brother attended Primrose Academy once they turned 14, just like their father had, and Sage enjoyed learning how to finetune her special abilities. At the end of the day, it was obvious what she would end up doing--all paths lead to following in her father's footsteps. Underground fighting... that was her own thing. Sage was always a fierce and outgoing girl, and it just took meeting the right people at the right time for her to get mixed up in that world. But it's also filled with a wealth of information, and a fantastic adrenaline rush. She's working hard on building her reputation for now, and as much as the Harkaway name helps... Sage kind of wants to be her own person.
