Lyric & Orion “I don’t want to see you again, Lyric, just get the hell out of here!”
Lyric slammed the door on her way out, never one to let someone else have the last word in any argument, even one where she deserved the yelling so much. She walked away from The Talk with Wren, with her head held high and her heels clicking menacingly on the marble floors. It was awful, it was painful, but it was over. Wren said some horrible things, most of which Lyric completely deserved. She wiped her eyes and eyed the door to her dorm room. Scarlett Jane Hallewell was probably in there. She didn’t want to deal with the little nosey technopath and she was also sure that the freezer was stocked high with Mardi Gras feast fares. She wiped the tears from her eyes and felt the lingering stench of perfume and leather jackets make her head spin. Taking a few deep breaths, she made her way to Orion’s room.
Fucking Orion.
Which is, ironically enough, what got her in this whole big mess. She tucked her bright hair behind her ear and knocked on the door. She wanted to be mad at him, she wanted to put all of this on him and she wanted to believe that it was because of him. It wasn’t. She knocked on the door again, knowing that the sick feeling in her stomach was going to go away eventually. She took in a deep breath and waited for him to open the door and had a fist full of ice ready incase Dakota answered the door instead. The last thing she needed after a painful breakup was a reminder of that piece of garbage sharing a room with the guy who managed to worm his way into her life again.
“Orion, I swear if you’re not in there I’m going to shoot an ice ball against your skull.” She threatened, waiting for him to show up.

[attr="class","box2"]LThick Steam lingered inside the small dorm bathroom, Orion stepping out from the shower. Large drops of water rolling down his toned body while he reached out for his towel, dapping it on his face before ruffling his hair with it. Feeling refreshed from his shower after an early morning at the gym, he still felt a twinge of soreness in his arms and chest. He swiftly swung the damp towel around his waist and made his way to the sink, grabbing his toothbrush and smear on some minty toothpaste. As he began to brush his teeth, he swipes a hand to clear the condensation and fog from the mirror; taking a quick look over.
He noticed that his stubble was growing longer, meaning to have shaved it off yesterday. He had just finished brushing his teeth and put away his brush, about to reach for his can of shaving cream when he heard a knock on the door. Dakota was away when he got back from the gym this morning, forcing him to have to go answer. He padded his way out from the bathroom, still slick from the shower. He was half way to the door when he heard a voice that caused him to smile, despite the threat that came with it.
He pulled open the door, bracing an arm on the side of the door while he looked at the fiery red head at his door. “If it isn’t my favorite person…” he said, playfully but his smile dropped when he noticed something was off. He examined her, noting how glassy her eyes looked and that her face was a bit flushed. “…What happened?” he asked, stepping aside to welcome her into the safety of his dorm room.
Did it have something to do with Wren? They have not had the opportunity to talk much about the relationship that he ruined…well since he damaged it with his selfish need to keep Lyric close. He promptly closed the door, padding his way to close the distance between them. His hands resting on the curves of her hips as he caught her eyes.

Lyric & Orion
Wren's screaming, her bright blue eyes aflame with anger, it was something that Lyric wasn't going to be able to forget any time soon. The anger in her eyes, the pain in her features as soon as Lyric said the dreadful truth that happened in that alleyway. She was sure that she would be able to justify a one time drunken mess. She would be able to apologize and maybe they would be able to work it out. Only. She wasn't drunk. She wasn't drunk and she wanted Orion to do everything that he did to her.
She spared Wren the details of literally begging for these thing, but the end result would have been all of the same. Wren screamed and begged her to leave and never come back. Lyric was disgusted with herself, but knew that she deserved it. She was starting to fall in love with Wren. Love? Lyric scoffed at herself at the door that she crashed against with Orion, she didn't deserve love. She hurt people around her, she was selfish and self-serving, she did whatever she wanted to and didn't think about others. None of that lent itself to a person who was worth of being loved. Lyric was feared and revered and she was damn fine with that.
When Orion opened the door in his towel, she knew this was where she belonged. Someone who had always wanted her for meaningless fun and that was about it. She could see the beads of water from a shower, the burly stubble on his chin, he was devastatingly handsome. "Just the only person who can tolerate you for long term, Orion." As much as her stomach was twisting and contorting with shame from Wren's screams, there was a spark of happiness in seeing Orion. She stepped into the room and let out a sigh of relief that the rapist wasn't in today.
She leaned closer to Orion, enjoying how his hands fit on her hips. "I told Wren it was over, and I told her about you, so prepare for that." She warned, stepping close to rest her head against his chest, "It didn't go very well, but it's over. She knows."

[attr="class","box2"]He gave Lyric a moment to collect herself and her thoughts as he pulled himself away. Just long enough to go back to the door to lock it. He had hoped that where ever Kota was at this moment, he would stay there for a while. This seemed like something serious, enough to make Lyric come to him. He had the strong suspicion that he was the one that likely caused this. Before returning to her, he swiftly pulled on some loose fitting sweat pants and tossed the towel in the hamper. His thick arms wrapping around her, pulling her close to him.
"Just the only person who can tolerate you for long term, Orion."
He scoffed at the jab, placing a hand on her cheek and angling her head back to look at him in the eye. "You must be a saint then," he leaned down to place a quick kiss upon her plump lips. It was a quick peck...but he wanted more, selfishly sneaking another kiss that lasted a few seconds longer. Her earlobe trapped between his ring finger and pinky as he peered into her eyes. He had to remind himself that she was here for a reason other than sex right now. He gave her a quick apologetic smirk, moving his hand back so he was back to embracing her.
"I told Wren it was over, and I told her about you, so prepare for that."
He felt the heat of her breath spread across his chest while she disclosed what was going on, letting out a small hum. “I had a feeling you were going to say that. If you would have told me...I could have gone with you. " He had a feeling that if he was there it would have been worse for Lyric and most likely his face. The thought of Wren storming across the courtyard just to deck him caused him to pause for a moment. It caused him to become a little more cautious from this moment on. "I will try to avoid her if I can...How are you holding up? Other than the obvious," he questioned, sneaking a peek at her.
"It didn't go very well, but it's over. She knows."
He ran his hand over her back in hopes to sooth her, knowing what she just did could not have been easy. "Do you want to hit me? I deserve your fury but just know…If I could go back to that night at the bar, I would do it again Lyric..." he admitted. He hated being apart from the only person that knew of his needs. He knew he was a dick and he was surprised that she came to him so soon after it had happened. "What can I do to help? " he asked, not wanting to press his luck by being his usual frisky self.

Lyric & Orion
Her thoughts were all over the place and she really didn't know where to go with it. Wren was someone who she thought that she would be able to have a real future with. She would be able to spend more time with her and spend time being with someone like her, but Lyric was who she was. A mess. She was a chaotic snow storm and she would do better keeping away from anyone who would actually be good for her. Even Orion, standing there was in danger of her. She wanted to push him away when he wrapped her up tightly, but found herself wrapping her arms around him instead. The storm quieted in her head as was replaced with the thumping of his heartbeat in her ear.
Orion was a fling. He was fleeting and passing. He wasn't the man to tilt her head back and say nice things about her. She thought she knew him well enough at this point and obviously she still had things to learn about the bear. "Would a saint let you carry her over your shoulder with no underwear and a short dress?" She asked, referencing the night before. She might have followed it up with other very unsaintlike moments they shared during the night, but was cut off by his lips on hers.
A very welcomed distraction from the verbal abuse she usually laid onto the shifter, though she was sure that a part of him liked a little abuse.
She cocked an eyebrow at Orion and felt an amused smirk pull onto her lips when he said he would have gone with her. The mental image of Wren just full on attacking Orion was too beautiful, too detailed to pass over. "She would have killed you on the spot." Or, even willingly use her ability on Orion to make him do it for her. That imagine was far more chilling and caused Lyric to tighten her hold onto Orion's toned body. "That's probably for the best. I don't want to see you get hurt because of me."
In about twenty four hours she went from a loving relationship with the first girl that she could have loved in her life, she ended up in a filthy alleyway with Orion, and broken up with the girl, and back with Orion. "Honestly, I don't even know what I'm feeling right now, but I know I like this." Being held in his arms, being with him in whatever way she could. It was comforting, it was familiar and it was where she wanted to be until further notice.
She looked up at him, taking in his words about how he would have done it all over again. How he would have kissed her again and been there for her all over again. She was grateful for the honesty and it scared her how much she wanted to tell him the same thing. "I don't think I would have stopped it a second or third time either." She admitted, "tell anyone that and I'll give you frostbite." She shot, breaking from his hold to go to his bed. "I just want to be around you, Orion."
