Lennox raced as quickly as he could back to the ground of Primrose, a wicked grin on his face and the howls of his bad deed still ringing in his ear. He was supposed to be packing up his dorm to go back to Scotland, but he got a little sidetracked the night before with a fake ID, the Gorgon's Head, and a LSU senior. She brought him back to her hotel, and he spent the night forgetting about Andy. The next morning, her boyfriend showed up to surprise her and Lennox took off. She was a good lay, and getting to rush off with his super speed was always a fun part of his day. Getting away with whatever he wanted, it was just a benefit of being a Primrose student. He was spoiled, entitled, and got what he wanted. Slowing down at the Primrose dorms, he grinned when he realized he was outside of Meme's door.
The two had been friends since they both got to Primrose and even dated for a brief period of time. They might have been pretty good together, but neither wanted to be loyal to the other. It was too difficult and they stayed friends. Lennox knocked on the door, feeling the warmth radiating from his sneakers. "Meme? He said dramatically, knocking over and over again. He was pretty sure that she hadn't left for the summer yet, but the population of Prim was dramatically dwindling and heading back to their mansions and lavish lives. Lennox still had too much packing to do and ready to bribe his sister to do it for him.
"Meme-" He called again, straight up pounding on the door. He didn't do well without attention and thankfully his friends were good about that. They indulged him and he liked to believe that their lives were richer for the experience.
"I know you're in there and you know you need to spend time with me." He leaned against the door frame, knowing that she was in there and if there was an off chance that she wasn't, then there were not that many witnesses to his embarrassment.

Living on the street, Meme imagined, involved a lot of noise. Cars, constant crowds, etc.
The benefit of living in a room was the expectation for some goddamn quiet.
Meme.
She barely heard it over Beyonce's voice coming through her earbuds. She opted to ignore it, continuing to scroll through Instagram.
Meme.
Banging.
"Are you fucking kidding me?" she muttered, pulling her earbuds out.
...You know you need to spend time with me. The fucking nerve of that over-sized Scottish ball of snot.
"What's the password?" she asked in a sing-song voice, getting up and crossing her arms, her eyebrow raising with the corner of her lips.
"A text would have been less obnoxious," she informed as if it were an entirely new concept within the progression of communication. As if he gave two fucks about what would have been more socially acceptable than pounding on her door.
She did eventually open the door, giving him a look when they met eyes. "Didn't get deported yet? This country never fails to disappoint." She stepped back from the doorway, returning to her bed which... was half covered in boxes.
"What're you so smug for?" she asked, regretting the question as soon as it left her lips. She leaned back into a wall, popping open a handheld mirror and untwisting some lip gloss. "If you're going to be in here you can start putting those clothes in this box," she said, pointing to a pile of clothes on her closet floor.
Meme was one of the biggest brats at the school, and he adored her completely. He was easily the greatest thing to ever happen to her and he was always willing to shower her with his love and praise. When she finally answered from the other side of the door, after he had been waiting for easily an eternity for her, he pouted a little. She was always so brazen with her insults, it was like she didn't worship the ground that he walked on. She acted like he wasn't the only person who she would want to see on the other door.
Utter nonsense.
"Is it I love you Lennox and you're the best fu-" He started until she opened the door. It would have been true, but he was sure that she didn't want him bragging about that in the middle of the hallway. It would make her the envy of too many people and he didn't want to put that on her. Out of respect to their former relationship and all.
"A text cannot capture the intensity of my need to see you." He said with a smirk, making his way into her nearly boxed up room. "Immigration isn't interested in charming and quite frankly, sexy Scotsmen." They were more interested in getting rid of the immigrants that looked more like Meme, and that would happen over Lennox's dead body. Enjoying annoying her or not, she was too important to him to let some ICE assholes come and take her.
Watching her lean against the wall and apply some lipgloss, it was like she was inviting his gaze. Lennox stepped closer to her, one hand on the wall next to her head and his body closer to hers, "Or I can smudge that pretty lipgloss for you, love." He said with a smirk, knowing that he had about a fifty fifty shot of cheating on Andy again in twelve hours.
