open | let's get this chaos GOING B)
Sophie heard it long before she saw it. The crashing, the yelling, the fact that something... wasn't quite right. She had been in the library, the place that she had practically been hiding in for the last four years and the place she had practically been living in since news of Lucy's death had reached her ears, when the floor beneath her felt like it was shaking, and the sound... it was unlike anything that she had ever heard. That was when she noticed that the desk where an orderly was typically stationed and watching her with eagle eyes was completely empty, with the chair pushed in. Sophie felt a pit begin to form in her stomach, and she turned back towards the door that opened into the rest of the hospital. Something was wrong. She could feel it in her bones.
Before she had even thought what she was going to do all the way through, her feet were moving. Carrying her towards the sound as opposed to away from it.
She couldn't run away from the friends that she had left. She had already lost too many people. She wasn't about to lose more.
As she got closer, she came to a screeching halt, staring out at the chaos before her. Fuck. Her eyes scanned the crowd, looking for a familiar head of pink hair, or a tall skinwalker fighting their way through the crowd, but she came up blank. And in the thick of it all... a hippo.

I can't help this awful energy
god damn right you should be scared of me
who is in control?
It is an undeniable fact of humanity that people panic when faced with a natural disaster. Unfortunately for the patients and staff at Monroeville, they didn't realize that the walls contained a living incarnation of disaster. Until now.
It didn’t take long for the news to spread or, in this case, for the screaming to fill the halls of Monroeville. EZ didn’t blame them for their reactions to him, on a certain level, he understood how they might feel with a giant hippo attacking. What he didn’t understand was the fact that a few people actually tried to fight back. They didn’t really hurt him, they were more of a nuisance that only increased his aggravation. It didn’t take long to make his way through those few desperate souls.
Eventually the crowds around him began to thin out, whether that was from them escaping his path or failing to get out of the way of the massive stampeding feet, he truly didn’t care either way. EZ began to slow down, began to take in the sights around him. This was his work. The chaos was his creation. And it wasn’t going to stop here, with this act. His gaze slowly sweeping the room, he soon locked eyes with a young woman with dark hair.
In his current state, EZ could vaguely recall seeing her around the hospital during his stay. The dormant part of his mind recognized her as Sophie, while the dominant animal part just saw someone else in his way. He took a deliberate step towards her while emitting a low, rumbling growl.

Fuck.
He'd lost Garrett. He knew there was a lot of sound around him but he didn't know just how much. He didn't know how loudly he'd have to yell in order to get the guy's attention. He didn't know how loud was too loud... or how loud would shatter Garrett's eardrums.
In the chaos, any actions that were not considered offensive were useless. And his offensive mode had no place in a crowded hall with no one to target.
He'd never felt more isolated. Panic had begun to set in, only yielding as his eyes caught the familiar brunette.
He moved toward Sophie, glancing toward...
A hippo?
His brows furrowed and shaking hands raised slightly as Eli walked slowly toward Sophie.
It wasn't just any hippo. Someone was in there, and someone needed to back off.
"Back up," he said clearly, elevating the volume to a high decibel as the sound waves attacked the hippo's ears.
People were going to get out of Monroeville. He wasn't going to die within prison walls because of no goddamn hippo.

The world around him began to fade away. In his mind there was only two people left, Sophie and him. It didn’t matter if she was innocent, EZ was too far gone to stop himself from attacking her, the evidence of this was all around them. The screaming, the crying, and the groans of pain that filled the air. He was going to tear the building down, but first he was going to go through the woman in front of him.
In a blink of an eye, he was on the move. Charging forward with only one thought in his head. He had to go through the person standing in front of him. The thought consumed him. Maybe if he was in better state of mind, if he hadn’t let his animalistic rage take control, he would have been more aware of his surroundings. But he wasn’t, so he missed the appearance of Elijah from one of the hallways. And with that appearance came the sudden burst of pain in his ears.
Reeling in pain, EZ surged forward wildly with eyes shut tightly. He wasn’t sure if he hit his target, if he did he wouldn’t have felt it. He never felt it when ran into someone. All he knew was that he crashed into one of the walls.
Slowly backing out of the new hippo sized hole in the wall. EZ shock off the the plaster and dust that littered his back. Ears ringing, EZ turned to the young man who had entered into the wrong room. This was interesting. Someone fighting back who actually hurt him. It made his blood boil and yet it also made him excited. He was beginning to have some fun now. Oh how things were getting interesting in the halls of Monroeville.
