how the ability works ♦ Sienna can pick up on, understand, control and generate electronic, digital, and radio transmissions. Without accessing any standard source of communication (cell phone, computer, etc), she can generate signals through one electronic device to another or be, essentially, a living wireless hub. Due to this, her ability is always active, but thankfully not always front-and-center.

She and it do have thier limits, though - the main one being that she must be in the range of a radio/satellite transmission in order to access it. She also isn't able to communicate with anything non-wireless (i.e.: telephone wires, electric cars, kitchen appliances). During times where Sienna is recalling or recieving information, she often visualizes the information on her surroundings and in the air around her head, moving data around with her hands as she sorts through it. Since the experience is overwhelming, she can often get lost in the experience and be unable to break out of it until it comes to a natural conclusion. This makes her unable to take in her surroundings, offering herself up as an easy target. It does cause her terrible headaches if she's in an area that contains a high amount of transmissions, so she tries to stay out of places like New York, Chicago, or Los Angeles, but with technology having no end in sight, she knows it's only going to get worse no matter where she is.

overall appearance ♦ Sienna is... unique. She dresses in smart, sensible clothing (cardigans, dresses, skirts, frilly tops, leggings, ankle boots), almost like something a receptionist or young librarian would wear. She has long, sometimes wavy/curly auburn red hair, but does have wigs she chooses to wear if she feels like something different without the permanent change - her favorites are a shoulder length red one that matches her natural color and a pixie length blonde. With her porcelain hued skin, her bright blue eyes and hair stand out with no help from her or cosmetics, but she does love wearing red lipstick and understated makeup.

+ fruits. she likes the freshness it brings when she bites into them.
+ hot chocolate. especially with a little cinnamon and nutmeg, but it has to be made with milk instead of water.
+ sweets. when she's down or just wants to have a comfy night in, she likes her chocolate and ice cream.. maybe pie.. anything that strikes her fancy, really.
+ brett. he's the only one who can make her focus on the important things when everything is trying to bring her down.

- ravioli. she isn't sure what it is, she just never took a liking to it.
- coffee. no matter what she puts in it, she can't seem to make it palatable.
- babies/kids. it isn't kids in general, it's the thought of having to deal with one - it causes her massive anxiety.
- pressure. specifically, societal pressure. if she's being bombarded by information and questions when she's trying to think, it'll make her have a small panic attack until she gets things under control for herself.

strengths ♦
+ her (almost) un-failing positivity. she tries her hardest to always look on the bright side of things, but not everything has a silver lining. when she sees this, it definitely puts a chink in her armor.
+ her loved ones. brett (her boyfriend) and nick (her bestie) are always there to catch her when she falls, and she couldn't imagine life without them.

- reality. not everything is sunshine and rainbows, and she hates it when the filter is removed.
- lack of inner strength. she relies too much on others for the most part to help her control her mind, and when she has no-one is when she really falters.

overall personality ♦
Sienna is.. exhausting. She packs a lot of energy and positivity into a tiny vessel, and just unleashes it whenever she feels like it. She speaks what seems like a mile a minute when she's thinking on the fly, and most times people have to ask for a Cliffs Notes version just to understand what she's driving at. It's largely agreed upon that she has ADHD (Attention Deficit Disorder with Hyperactivity) but it's never been proven. Patrons at the coffee shop where she works think she's just been drinking too much of the profits. Whatever the reason, she's a brilliantly shining light within the world, and she rarely dims, except when she's shown the truths and realities surrounding her. She'll attempt to deny what she's being shown/told, but when she finally cracks, it takes awhile (read: a few hours to a full day or two) to recover. She's a whirlwind of color and energy, that doesn't seem to have an end or a beginning, but in private, she does calm down and breathe more than most think. She also takes a bit to get started in the morning, but once she's going, she barely stops to breathe (or let others breathe).

Sienna was brought into this world by Jean-Luc and Emery Montgomery six years into their marriage. By this time, Jean-Luc had become widely known in the sommalier world, and Emery had many books and articles on her work as well. This left, as one would imagine, little time for thier "little girl", who buried herself in books and art to fill the void. When they moved to New Orleans to advance their careers, Sienna of course went with them and wound up falling in love with the Mid-City NOLA library - the inside and the outside. When her school day was done, her parents could often find her here curled up in a large chair with a good book.. or several. This lifestyle led to her expansive knowledge, where she may not have known everything about everything, but she knew enough about everything to carry on a conversation. Her knowledge and thier money got her into Tulane University eventually, where she gained her Bachelor's degree, but it let her parents down when she moved out into the "real world" and became.. "just a barista". This has never deterred Sienna, though.

In college, she had met Nick, her best friend to this day, and he introduced her to Brett, her current boyfriend. Both of them keep her relatively grounded and focused to where her ability to pick up on, control, and send radio transmissions doesn't destroy her from the inside out. It's something she found she had while in high school when she simply heard a song in her head - to start - and let that keep her company while she read or did homework. It has since evolved to just about any wireless signal, not just radio, and it can become overwhelming.. not that her parents know or care since they never paid attention to her when she tried to tell them in the beginning. She hasn't let them or it stop her, however, and keeps bouncing along, her smile forever intact.
